COMAR establishes interinstitutional relations with government agencies, international organizations, civil society and in general, with any institution which may provide services refugees may require.

The institutional assistance provided by COMAR consists initially in identifying each of the refugees needs and elaborate, with the refugee's participation, an assistance plan. COMAR will then establish contact with the different agencies or institutions in order to meet refugees' needs.

Refugees must personally request orientation or services to the different agencies or institutions. If the refugee should face any difficulties due to their status as refugee, COMAR may intervene on his / her behalf.

Institutional Assistance provided by COMAR includes the following aspects:

• Social. Spanish lessons, health, education, subsistence, welfare programs.
• Underage refugees. Integral attention given to unaccompanied or separated minors, taking into account the best interest of the child.
• Family reunification. Applications for the arrival of family members to Mexico.
• Integration. Employment training, orientation for naturalization and for applications before government agencies.
• Migratory issues. Regularization, FM3, travel authorization, travel documents.
